The days are getting longer and warmer, and it's looking really beautiful outside:
I have been working hard with my seedlings, preparing garden beds, and even putting up a fence to protect my lettuce and spinach from rabbits:
Well, the lettuce and spinach is barely visible, but it still needs protecting!
Also, I've been enjoying all the daffodils, forsythia and bleeding hearts in my house:

Garden Notes - April 24, 2013
Lots of grape hyacinth growing.
Lots of lovely daffodils and warm weather!
Lilac buds are visible.
Little tiny seedlings from all the seeds I scattered: poppies, foxglove and cleome.
The lettuce is doing very well!

First Sign of Spring
Today is April 4th, and the only flowers in bloom so far are the crocuses. There are daffodils popping up all over the back yard, and I can see the bleeding hearts pushing its way out of the ground. My rosemary plant survived the winter (sort of).... not much else is happening. Waiting for the forsythia to bloom. It's been a long winter.
